DE (Department of Economics) of FEB UNS and MESP (Magister of Economics and Development Studies) of FEB UNS will manage an International Conference and a Workshop on 5th – 6th October 2016. It is well known as 2nd AICEDC (Annual International Conference on Economic in Developing Countries). The Theme of this conference is “Contemporary Issues in Emerging Economy”. It will be focused on some topics, are: Small, and Medium Enterprises; Financial Inclusion; Monetary Policy and Financial Transaction in MEA Framework, Economic Development in ASEAN member countries, Environmental and Resources Economics; Financial Services Authority and Central Bank; Poverty and Income Distribution; Micro Financial Institutions; and Economic Cooperation and Competitiveness.
Indonesia and other developing countries were classified as emerging economy. It means “Rapidly growing and volatile economies of certain Asian and Latin American countries. They promise huge potential for growth but also pose significant political, monetary, and social risks.” (http://www.businessdictionary.com). Many ideas can be discussed and studied from emerging economy. For that, theme of contemporary issues in emerging economy becomes important issues especially in Indonesia.
The committee of AICEDC 2016 is fully aware that every successful conference requires adequate academic exercise as well as sufficient complementing resources. Indeed, the collaboration among committed collaborating institutions results in better outcome in term of making the conference well prepared, better managed, more accountable, as well as in providing valuable policy recommendations and academic publications.
